Planting a tree is synonymous with planting life, for all the benefits it offers to humanity and nature, since in addition to offering shade, it purifies the air, gives away its fruits, wood, medicine, absorbs carbon dioxide, but also protects the soil from erosion.
Taking into account that trees work 24 hours a day to improve the environment and the quality of life of man, the District Administrative Department of the Environment -DAMAB- from 2008 to 2010 planted 46 thousand trees of various native species and December 2011 projects the sowing another 40 thousand.
The director of the Damab, Humberto Mendoza affirms that it is necessary to promote environmental changes from the schools to generate positive attitudes towards the environment. And he adds that "through the School Environmental Project -PRAE-, from the classrooms there are spaces to reflect and participate in the solution of environmental problems in the city."
